Lenny The One-eyed Rat Catcher

Taken to the vet by a member of the public, Lenny, a grey male tabby cat had a badly damaged eye, the likely cause: car vs. cat.

Acting quickly to prevent infection & further distress, the vets chose to remove his eye completely.

He was fostered out to Hayley, one of our animal attendants, where he made himself right at home as though nothing had happened.

3 weeks later, with his eye healed perfectly, Lenny was ready to be adopted…by Adele.

Lenny now lives with Adele & her family at their country cottage. After letting her dog Rosie know who was boss, they now get along great, playing together and even sharing meals.

Adele says Lenny is fond of a smooch & snuggle, but he is also very independent.

The small matter of a missing eye hasn’t stopped Lenny bringing home hunting trophies – Adele has lost count of the ‘gifts’ of mice, rats, and even rabbits he’s brought them.
